Should I seal when installing floor tiles in a kitchen or bathroom?
Hardibacker and I am installing porcelain tile on a substrate particle board in my bathroom and kitchen. Should I use some type of sealant on the board or particle board or sponsor? If so, What should I use?
Sealant is not required in the OSB. Apply some thinset and screw down the Hardibacker. Get some mesh tape and apply to the seams, then cover the tape with a thin layer of thinset. You are ready to tile. Good luck.
