When it comes to good design, whether a chair, a building or a table lamp, without the seeing eye design balanced proportion, the design will fail. The key to good design is always a harmonious balance between the elements used.

Italy has a long respected reputation for excellence in contemporary design with names like Armani, Gucci and Versace. Ginori's house was established in 1735 by the Marchese Carlo Ginori, (1702-1757), porcelain Ginori first manufacturing in Doccia near Florence.

Ginori porcelain manufacture was continued relentlessly for his three children, took note of everything for the introduction of a new white porcelain. (The 18th century porcelain Doccia has always had a more grayish look to it). The company always has referred to its 18th century origins and the revival of the rococo style in the 19th century, the factory Doccia almost completely returned to their 18th century models. The company remained in the hands of Ginori heirs until 1896, when incorporated into the company of Richard Milan and Richard-Ginori.

Gio Ponti worked as artistic director of the company since 1923 in the 1930s, the period in which this lamp was produced. Richard Ginori company that produces most of the high quality Italian porcelain today has its own goal of the museum to display his collection Doccia beautiful Richard Ginori china, until today. This lamp is also included in his collection of screen.

"An Italian porcelain table lamp design house of Richard-Ginori. The lamp elegant and balanced proportions. The elaborate design of classical antiquity. The lamp stands on a square pedestal base with a golden ring mate choice. The lamp base with golden rod "bound" castings. The elliptical shape vase glazed in a deep royal blue and decorated with a circular gold rimmed white reserve. The reserve with a puce, classical figure well drawn a Roman muse.

The lamp neck terminating in a molded and loot and gold domed cover surmounted by a lamp or owner .
