Need help strip laminate flooring?

Pls answer my question as soon as possible. My house is in a mess and I need to get it fixed ASAP. I glued laminated hardwood in my foyer kitchen.Area a total of 450 square feet. I'm looking for porcelain tile replaace as it has water damage. I have hired a contractor and has no idea how to get the hardwood floor. He tried to undermine the strips one by one. But it's an old hardwood floor and has stuck by the strength of real. Also the bottom of the wood strip breaks in individual square-shaped ridges. So the tears of the first upper sheet and then every 1 "* 1 "square piece has to be cut manually. This is a long time. Extractor equipment rented a Lowes tile that does not help either. The contractor tells me that there is a machine which helps to do this very quickly. Do you know of any machine? Do you suggest a different approach to remove all the wood? The contractor is from El Salvador and communication is a major irritant.

Your best option is to install a Hardi Backer board on the ground that a product is cement board and then install than ceramic tile .. it would take days and a lot of elbow grease to remove 450SF of hardwood flooring that is stuck down. The Council Hardi Backer or sometimes called Durok can buy anywhere that sells ceramic tile. It comes in 1 / 4 "thick or 1 / 2 .. I hope this helps …
