Fine Tableware Collections – Fruit And Serving Bowls For The Table
A serving bowl is perhaps one of the most important components of any fine tableware collection. In the United States (and around the world) bringing food to the dining table in the original pots and pans is not the traditional practice. Instead, prepared food is transferred to large serving bowls ranging from simple to ornate. The concept of a bowl has been around for centuries as a convenient method serving, eating and storing food.
Creating a fine tableware collection typically consists of shifting the focus from everyday tableware (plates, cups, glasses) towards larger pieces such as serving platters, large serving bowls, cake plates, salt and pepper shakers and other “serving” dishes. This is a practical idea because when serving a meal (especially a meal with multiple courses) it is important to have enough bowls and platters to present the food to family and guests while maintaining an attractive display. The type of tableware chosen to serve food is almost as important as what food is served.
Create a common theme by using the same or similar colors throughout your tableware collection (such as pink, blue or green). It is also possible to add accents of color such as a ruby red cake plate to a collection as well. There are no set “rules” for how to create a dining collection and mixing and matching colors can be a fun way to add extra detail and design to your table for any meal. Try selecting bowls with patterns such as Thistle, Nicole, Elizabethan, or Heritage. Patterns can be introduced to other tableware or stand alone as a unique item.

You can't go wrong with ro-tel dip.
Take one lb. of velveeta
one can of ro-tel tomatoes (not drained0
put in a crock-pot and cook on low heat until it's melted
You can also add in a lb. of cooked drained sausage
Homemade salsa is really good.
Take 12 roma tomatoes seeded and diced. I always make tons of salsa
one small onion diced
1 half bunch of cilantro
2 cloves of garlic
1 jalapeno
Mix together in a bowl, let sit for a while
Chicken wings are good if you like those. All hot wing sauces usually consist of equal amounts of hot sauce and butter. Just roast some wings and coat them in that sauce.
Try an easy layered dip.
Layer guacamole, salsa, sour cream and cheddar cheese
